I would TOTALLY, TOTALLY babysit for you. The 2 year old is the plus, here, as mine are 12, 15, 16 and 18, and lately I’ve been dying to get my hands on a small one again. Being that the boy children in my family are easier than the girl children, I’d totally be nice to your boys, too. AND, I wouldn’t charge you any money. AND I would stay for a weekend. However, the issue here is that I live, oh, about a bazillion miles away…I have, however, always wanted to see Vancouver, so maybe we could work out some sort of deal…

Can I swing the baby around like that too, because then I’m in?
I love it!

I LOVE IT! You are now officially the funniest person I know!!!!!! Great ad – hope you manage to snag yourself a sitter. Hubby and I are making a New Year’s Resolution to have a proper weekly date night, with a sitter and everything. We’ve managed to find two sisters who can babysit for us fairly regularly (only took us 2.5 years of living here to pull that off). Here’s hoping your craigslist ad finds you a regular babysitter… maybe we could all “date night” together sometime…

I know Latin! I am on my way! (except I don’t really like kids too much). But if I can make myself some paninis without the apples, you can count on me to feed them some of my scraps!
You are a riot!
Just me again.

That was GREAT! I may have to cut and paste is except that we live just before the end of the world and I don’t think there are any other people out here who can baby sit!
If I can leave my two kids than I’ll watch your three but swinging all of them upside down is a deal breaker- I must be able to do it!
Hysterical!

I would totally come babysit for you, excepting the slight distance problem.
I hope you manage to get a sitter!

I’d send my boys they would love to babysit….but the distance may mean they won’t get there until they are even older :) We’d call for the job.

aw. i would totally do it, based on ad (and your 2 year old playing with my 1.5er). but bringing z home on the bus to the west end from bby, after like 730 at night is hell. like, worse than premarital sex AND masturbation hell. combined with calling jesus gay hell. (just clarifying how deeply serious [and heretical] i am)

I live in my daughter’s home. She has 4 children: 10, 8, 6, 3 1/2. I get ‘way too many opportunities to babysit. LOL Seriously, I love being this close to my grandkids. If we weren’t so far apart I would invite your kids over to play with mine.

well, how about…i’ll sit for your 3 kids and, in return…you can sit for my 5 kids. fair? we haven’t gone on a date night in months, either. for some reason, we can’t seem to keep a sitter…not sure why…5 kids, that isn’t so bad! one has anxiety and comes downstairs every 30 seconds to make sure he hasn’t been deserted and the 4 year old…well, he just flat out refuses to sleep. other than that…it’s a cake walk! so, whaddya say? i’ll sit jan. 30 and you sit for me, the following weekend. cool?!

I read your ad and it’s hysterical. I so hope you got a sitter. I just started getting a sitter for LM.
Not often though since I have to share him with the ex but once every few months is ok.
He now asks me if his girlfriend is coming over to play.
And I would so totally babysit for you and for free at that.

Stella, you can leave those cute ass babies here anytime.
Sassy Lucy, send them now. I’ll need them by the time they get here!
Eve, good on ya. My mother in law lived 1 1/2 blocks from us in Denver, and it was babysitting heaven. Not so much constant in-law visit heaven, but it balanced out.
SSP, I had 9 siblings. Your five plus my 3 is still easier than I had it as the 2nd oldest. I am not afraid.
Mommy, I have a box with holes and newspaper and cheerios all ready.
Kim, this one lady left me the FUNNIEST and CREEPIEST reply. Ever.
E-You have to laugh at yourself sometimes, otherwise you’d cry your eyes out. :)
Someone's mother three times over. Someone's wife, just once so far. Canadian reject, Texas transplant.
My first name is Shannon, but you can call me Mr Lady. If you're nasty.
