I am one hot minx:
I think I passed a
kidney stone last night. Isn’t
that SO romantic?
And sometimes, I swoon:
If there was ever
a reason to fall in love
This here would be it.
I am a really good mother:
My kid is ditching
school to go see a movie
with my permission.
And now I get a whole knew forum to test out my mad skilz of a momma:
A new little boy
born in San Jose Tuesday
calls me Madrina.
And my real family is about to grow:
My baby sister,
10 years my junior, is in
early labor now.

Friday, 15 February, 2008 at 10:50I thought we had a date last night. An awkward, dinner and drinks affair, perhaps, my lovely lady. But I waited with the Courvasier and flowers (none of those cheap carnations, either…you are worth real, expensive daisies) for HOURS at the restaurant, and you didn’t show. Awkward never was so awkward. My red satin sheets long for you. I would have *?!@*$)@-ed you all night long. But now all I can do is send you haiku:
Oh, Mr. Lady!
Hot, lovely Mr. Lady!
I’m sorry to say
the Courvasier
is all gone. But I drank it
while thinking of you.

Hope you had a great night last night. :)

Friday, 15 February, 2008 at 10:52Oh, and I am a dumbass for spending so long working on silly haiku that I forgot about the kidney stone. (Small brain only holds one thought at once.) So obviously your night last night wasn’t super hot. Ouch. Sorry.

(Admission. I have only written one Haiku in my life and it was for an English class.)
I honestly don’t even remember all the rules for them.
Duh.

Sunday, 17 February, 2008 at 0:26Kidney stone, huh? Killer V-day date. You need to work on that for next year.
Congrats on being a godmother, and on (I assume by now) an aunt as well. It’s been a good week. Well, aside from the horrendous pain and all. Maybe you should reconsider being quite so supportive of friends/family in labour. It’s not really the best method.
