Isn’t he the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen, all freshly 8, blowing out the candles on his morning birthday cake? (Yes, I wake my kids up with cake on their birthdays. Wanna make something of it?)
My birthday is May 6th. I expect you at the front door, with an armful of yellow cake, buttercream (none of that sugary shit) frosting and 45-freakin’ candles.
Okay, seriously, the monkey picture is adorable and it makes me want to start a monkey photo carnival so we can see everyone’s kids wearing them. We could start a new trend…
OMG, those are awesome pictures, but your words make it super awesome and hilarious, too. Good stuff. Please mail me a cake for my upcoming birthday. I’ll light my own candle ;)
I think cake first thing in the morning is the PERFECT way to celebrate a birthday. My wife’s seriously manic about ensuring our kids’ birthdays are always amazingly special, so when I saw the cake thing, it struck me as absolutely cool. We get that!
I also wanted to apologize for the watermelon out of your nose thing from this past Wordless Wednesday. Wasn’t my intention to cause nasal distress. I’ll just have to keep visiting to real all your other stuff: from what I’ve already seen, you’re gonna be a regular fave.
LMAO – every year I tell my kids they can have whatever they want for their birthday breakfast. I started this with the expectation of making cakes, cookies or something really elaborate for breakfast. The unimaginative little brats. The yearly request from all of them is chocolate chip pancakes.
Seriously, I can’t even come up with anything witty. I’m just laughing too hard. I do think your little streaker needs to get herself a blog, and quick. She’ll rule the blogging universe someday if she is this creative now. Awesome!
I think she has mastered modesty as well. That monkey is very strategically placed. Good girl.
I love the idea of cake for breakfast. Wait. I do that any day. ;)
I like that waking the kiddos up for morning birthday cake… both of mine were born at O’dark:30 in the morning. I should get their butts out of bed like they did me. =)
I hear its tough to get those monkeys of your back! Haha. Just cute and fun picutres this week. And hey who do I have to bribe to get onto your super awesome blogroll?
Someone's mother three times over. Someone's wife, just once so far. Canadian reject, Texas transplant.
My first name is Shannon, but you can call me Mr Lady. If you're nasty.
