		<description>My kids had some friends that were wise beyond their years.

It was weird--they were always the BEST kids at our house...like they could breathe. 

As opposed to kids with privileged backgrounds that sometimes seemed spoiled and needy.

I tried not to be afraid of the kid&#039;s influence on my kid--it was hard, though. 

I hate to say this, but for the most part, as they grew into adolescents, their paths did diverge, although they are sort of casual friends....

The main thing I tried to do was not let my kids judge them too harshly. To remember the little kid they were......
