I had a 4-year-old butterfly once… that was pretty cute, too. This year, she’s a bag of jelly beans… a clear plastic bag and a load of balloons (the cheapest costume I’ve ever bought!). Mommy’s a happy camper this year. Well… that is until I have to blow up all the damned balloons.

But we both wanted to keep our money in our pocket and settled for a mouse costume a friend loaned us. I am totally telling her when she grows up that she went as Angelina (the ballet mouse don’t you know?) instead of some generic mouse. I hope it sounds impressive to her. I bet the butterfly costume is adorable :)

I have been trying to sell a too small costume I bought on the internet for 3 weeks. No luck.
I ordered another costume that was way cuter (and cheaper) only to find out it won’t be delivered until November 4th.
I bought my son a costume yesterday at the goddamn grocery store so he could go to a carnival with his sister, who’s costume was sewn an hour before we left.
Sometimes I think I am a shit ass mother.
