What are you going to do? That’s why we do ‘fly by the seat of our pants costumes’ around here. To the world I look like a slacker-mom, but it saves me aggravation.
Did you get that Woody costume on the previous SW trip from hell because if I want to a store looking for a Woody costume, I would have ended up only finding The Prospector. And if you get that Toy Story joke, I’m sorry that you are a member of the same cult as me, the cult of Woody & Buzz has a strong hold in this household. Send halp plez.

That’s a great pic – and she’s soooooooo cute! And, this is just the beginning of being a fickle female! It’s what we do best, isn’t it? Change our mind. (In my case I change my mindS … but shhhh! Don’t tell!)
Oh god she is damn cute!!! Cant wait to see all with their costumes :) Tell the donor to dress up once in his #@$%^&*( life and get some candy hahahhaha we all know that wont happen Kisses
It could be worse… she could change her mind and want to be one of the Village People. Oh wait. She IS one of the village people. (they’ve got a cowboy). She can be the cuter, younger replacement.
It is a girl’s prerogative ;) And it should definitely be the prerogative of a girl SO cute!
I had a 4-year-old butterfly once… that was pretty cute, too. This year, she’s a bag of jelly beans… a clear plastic bag and a load of balloons (the cheapest costume I’ve ever bought!). Mommy’s a happy camper this year. Well… that is until I have to blow up all the damned balloons.
Dude – Frankie is totally a butterfly this year. I just paid like triple the amount of the costume for shipping to get it here by tomorrow. Got any white shoes though?
I have so much sympathy for you after the Great Costume Hunt of your last post. I can’t believe how much those little crummy costumes cost! I am SO not suited to be a parent! Good thing I stopped with my dog…
I have TOTALLY had that happen over here! Last year, in fact. I just said, “Fine. Don’t be Minnie Mouse though you were BEGGING for it before. Go to the dress-up bin. Knock yourself out…”
I wanted TLP to be Princess Leia and DH wanted her to be Yoda. But we both wanted to keep our money in our pocket and settled for a mouse costume a friend loaned us. I am totally telling her when she grows up that she went as Angelina (the ballet mouse don’t you know?) instead of some generic mouse. I hope it sounds impressive to her. I bet the butterfly costume is adorable :)
Better you than me. After running crazed and empty-handed out of a crowded costume shoppe before landing in quiet costume haven last weekend, I’m glad to have it all behind me even as I mourn the passing of my pocketbook.
Boo has some Woody underpants. And they never fail to crack me the shit up. I mean, Woody? Underpants? Bwaaaaa haaaa haaaaaaaaa! yes, sir, I would love another drink…
Uggh, good to know I am not the with mutha f*in Halloween drama.
I have been trying to sell a too small costume I bought on the internet for 3 weeks. No luck.
I ordered another costume that was way cuter (and cheaper) only to find out it won’t be delivered until November 4th.
I bought my son a costume yesterday at the goddamn grocery store so he could go to a carnival with his sister, who’s costume was sewn an hour before we left.
