one more thing for the day

While I'm being crabby...

Newsweek misinformed us. People rioted and murdered. It is really sad. And they're getting hung out to dry, just like they should.

No problem so far.

The White House asked for an apology.

Problem.

The White House misinformed us a few years back. Remember that? They based a whole gosh darn warn on a little lie called WMD's.

(Go ahead, read the whole speech. Not one word about spreading democracy.)

"After eleven years during which we have tried containment, sanctions, inspections, even selected military action, the end result is that Saddam Hussein still has chemical and biological weapons and is increasing his capabilities to make more. And he is moving ever closer to developing a nuclear weapon. "

A BUNCH of people have died. Not only didn't anyone ask them for an apology, or they offer one, they merely changed their tune and hoped we'd forget the original lie.

"This is a massive and difficult undertaking -- it is worth our effort, it is worth our sacrifice, because we know the stakes. The failure of Iraqi democracy would embolden terrorists around the world, increase dangers to the American people, and extinguish the hopes of millions in the region."

(Go ahead, read the whole speech. Not one word about WMD's.)

How dare they condemn Newsweek? They rest of us, sure. Not those hypocrites.
