Pete take 2

A while back I mentioned my (ex) brother-in-law who is serving in Iraq. He volunteered to go serve as a police officer, simply because he felt it was the right thing to do.

My sister-in-law received another email from him yesterday:

Hi Jen,

It was good to hear from you, and thank-you for your prayers. We all need them over here. I am doing well. I got transferred ot the southern part of the country, and the people here seem to like us. I had a good vacation home, but it went to quick. When I got back to Iraq our hotel got hit with another car bomb. Boy that shook me out of the vacation mode very quickly. Well, have to cut it quick, but will write again. Take care and God Bless

Update: I sent an email to him, and got one right back. Here's what he had to say:

It was so good to hear from you! And you have two handsome boys! I am really
glad that things are going good for you. Well, I am in Iraq, and it is the
hardest thing that I have ever experienced I have seem things that I could have
lived a lifetime without. I am sure that this experience with always remain with
me. I just hope are sons and daughters don't have to come to a place like this.
I guess this is one of the reasons I am here. I try to take it day by day, an I
rely on the Lord's grace to keep me alive. I have 5 months and 6 days left. I
was in Fallujah the first 5 1/2 months. I am now in the Babylon region, which is
batter than the Sunni Triangle. I hope to here form you guys. Send me a family
picture.
