I am supposed to be putting laundry away right now. As I type this, my husband is downstairs helping the boys do homework. There is a sink full of dishes, and my house smells disconcertingly

I am a "hider" too, at least that's what my mom calls it. I hide in my room from from my kids sometimes.....it's totally normal!!

I am trying to think up something to say to my hubby when he asks, "Are you just NOW coming to bed?" It is nearly 2 am. What can I say??? I fell asleep? I decided to organize the junk drawer? Yeah, I often send my hubby upstairs to give baths while I ummm "clean" the kitchen. Actually, I plop down and read blogs and play until I hear the baths coming to an end. Then I rush in and finish the kitchen. They are none the wiser.

I'm sure my mommy taught me how to clean dishes when I was like 2. She didn;t waste one minute putting mme to work. I know I vacummed at age 6. You need to stop the guilt trip and get down there a drive those little slaves.
Hint: There gonna grow up to be ungrateful wretches no matter what you do. At least you can get them to clean your house before they move out.

When the little one is at MDO two days a week, when I should be doing productive things around the house, going to doctors, running errands. I sit at the computer for hours! I figure I managed to do all that stuff before she went to school with her in tow, why should I give up my free time? I'm do what I want. Which is nothing!

you are smart smart women! i really need a laptop so i can do that too. i wish i had some where to 'hide out' today. man my kids are making me freakin' nuts!! (to say the least!) uh! here is another one now... shit can't they give me any time to do anything??? i might just have to sneak away into my room tonight to straighten up and put away laundry too, even though i won't have my handy dandy computer there, it will be a whine/cry/beg/annoy free zone. thanks for the GREAT idea!
