I cannot believe it. I walked in the door, arms full of groceries, Boo droning on and on about something and spotted the TV with the news splashed across the screen.
I whooped. I never freaking whoop. Especially at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and no alcohol in my system.
LOL When you say we... is that the royal we? I wish it was my "we"... or Libratarion we.
My 1 of 3 cried, and my 2 of 3 asked if Obama was going to come get all the white people. Which actually was surprising, he must have been listening when I was explaining the Obama was racist to 1 of 3. Oh well.
Excellent photo! And not one temper tantrum over the votes! McCain did handle it with grace - there were glimpses of the old McCain in his speech last night. We truly were a fantastic example of Democracy for the world last night.

Congratulations to President-elect Obama and all who supported him.
I *hope* my fears are wrong; that he won't raise the taxes of every tax payer, that he won't squelch free speech, that he won't go along with those that want to seize our 401(k)s, that he won't decimate the military, and - most important - that VP-elect Biden's prediction that President Obama will be tested.
I fear that everything I wrote above - and more - will come to pass, making me long for the days of President Carter's misery index by comparison.
Your post yesterday was amazing, too. If my short and loud ones had not been in bed by the announcement, I would have taken the same photo -- a truly historic moment. They did, however, help me as I went door to door for local/regional candidates handing out literature. Never too young to train the civic activists in Schaererville, I say!
Props to B.O. Cool initials. I hope for all our sakes that this shit turns out how you all hope it will. Remember the saying "be careful what you wish for"? YOU WANTED THE BEST.................YOU GOT 'EM! KISS!Peace, Mike. P.S. Who Loves you baby?
What a great shot !! Why didn't I think of that? Anyhoo- delurking to say that I tagged you in a photo Meme.. Rules are over at my blog if you want to play along, if not totally understand.. In over my head over here LOL!

i am so happy. so excited. awesome speech by mccain. well said.
despite the work stress going on, now and then it would hit me. Omygoodness, we did it. we made it this far. the ancestors must be beaming. they got us here.
he ran a good campaign, seriously, he just ran it well.
There were plenty of us up here north of the border watching those results last night, too. And, I think most of us were really pleased with the results. What a historic day for you all!
I cried last night when the men on MSNBC said he was declared the 44th president. I stayed up until his acceptance speech. I feel at peace today and I still feel like crying I am so excited. January 20th cannot get here soon enough.
I live in Chicago, and word on the street is Oprah was at the rally, and she was crying. And she was leaning up on some dude. And it turned out she didn't even know him!!! ;)

Yes, but soooooo much more to do still.
Troubling ballot initiative results in Cali, Arizona, Florida, and maybe most unsettling Arkansas.
Let's not fuck up the end-game. Let's prove that we earned it honestly.
- A proud Virginia Blue Voter! I LIVE IN A BLUE STATE AGAIN!
